Where Art, History and Abolition Meet
Beyond Maximum Impact is the latest project from the Paul Cuffee Abolitionist Center.
The collection was written and produced by Maximum Impact Poetry, featuring nationally known spoken-word artists and slavery abolitionists Max Parthas and Tribal Raine.
Through spoken word, music, historical testimony, political analysis, and creative storytelling, the collection examines the relationship between historic slavery, constitutional language, incarceration, forced labor, and the continuing movement for abolition.
Beyond Maximum Impact reflects PCAC’s belief that art is not separate from education or organising. Art can preserve memory, expose injustice, challenge accepted narratives, and inspire people to act.
Max Parthas and Tribal Raine
Maximum Impact Poetry
Max Parthas and Tribal Raine are nationally known spoken-word artists, slavery abolitionists, educators, and community organisers.
Together, they create and perform as Maximum Impact Poetry, using language, rhythm, history, and lived experience to explore abolition, freedom, resistance, culture, and community responsibility.
Beyond Maximum Impact brings their creative and educational work together in one complete digital collection.
